Once upon a time, I was a refugee of the grunge/alternative era(who also wasn't afraid of a little falsetto and a love song). The dream of my first record came true back in 2002. Listening to it again after all these years makes my hair stand on end. The songs might seem a little melancholy at times but I think there was hope in them as well. Hope because I know who wins in the end. Mourning as I see my brokenness and long for that day. The Orthodox Church calls it a "Bright Sadness" and it's something I carry with me to this day. This record and everyone who contributed to its making still holds a special spot in my heart. If you are a child of the '90s or just want to take a little ride into the past throw on some high-quality headphones and give it a listen.
